WHAT IS INVISALIGN?

Invisalign is a modern, fully digitized experience without the intrusive look of traditional braces.

You look at people with straight teeth and wonder how fortunate they are to have a straight, Hollywood-like smile. We understand.

Our smile is integral to our personality, and having jagged, overlapping, or crooked teeth can significantly influence our confidence.

Did you know that nine in 10 people have teeth that are at least slightly misaligned1, and more than one-third of Americans are unhappy with their smile2?

With Invisalign’s clear braces from your authorized Frisco dentist, you now have an option to straighten your smile discreetly, without the need for brackets and wires, and without calling attention to your orthodontic treatment – regardless of your age!

If you’re considering clear aligners, are you familiar with these key advantages of Invisalign over traditional braces?

Invisalign offers more comfort and convenience with removable plastic aligners that can be taken out to eat, drink, brush your teeth, and floss.

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, so you can go about your daily routine with confidence.

See improvements as you move to each new aligner set. Traditional braces look the same, until the end - grow more comfortable with your new smile as it progresses.

Fewer follow-up visits with Invisalign than with traditional braces.

If these advantages match your wants, Invisalign may be ideal for you.

WHY CHOOSE INVISALIGN?

Invisalign is the clear choice for clear braces.

Your treatment will consist of a series of aligners you switch out about every two to three weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to shift your teeth into place gradually.

If you’re ready for a smile that transforms your appearance, Invisalign treatment at Prime Time Dentistry is your answer. Although there are many choices for teeth straightening, no other works as effortlessly as our Invisalign system.

Invisalign is the best way to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life.

Check out the benefits below:

Clarity: Invisalign is virtually invisible, so hardly anyone will even know you are straightening your teeth.

Comfort: With Invisalign, you’ll barely notice you wear aligners yourself.

Effective: Even before you finish Invisalign, your teeth alignment will improve, and you will begin enjoying the benefits of a better smile.

Removability: You can remove the Invisalign aligners to drink, eat, floss and brush or for special occasions.

Customized: Our team takes precise impressions and pictures and customizes your aligners to make your teeth and smile as perfect as possible.

All-in-one resource guide for Invisalign treatment.

When we receive your first set of aligners, you come to our office to check for fit and make any necessary adjustments. You will wear your aligners daily, except when you eat, floss, and brush your teeth. Because Invisalign braces are removable, you can briefly remove them whenever you need to throughout the day.

You wear each set of aligners for two weeks and then switch to the next stage of aligners.

Your aligners will initially feel snug as we design them to gently and precisely move your teeth. After a few days, your teeth gradually move to a new position.

Changing aligners too early will interfere with your treatment plan.

At six-week intervals, you will have an appointment in our office to check your aligners and treatment progress. These checkups also help us determine if there are any adjustments to the aligners or your treatment plan.

One of the best reasons to invest in Invisalign is how comfortable these aligners are to wear.

Remember that your teeth are shifting into a new position, so you can expect to feel some mild discomfort as they move, especially with the first set of aligners.

The pressure you will feel on your teeth when you first put on a new set of aligners will gradually fade over a few days.

If you feel any significant discomfort or pain, give us a call. We’ll schedule an appointment with you to look at your teeth, gums, and aligners to ensure a proper fit.

Both teenagers and adults can wear Invisalign. These clear braces are used to close gaps between teeth and treat overbite, underbite, open bite, crossbite, and overcrowded teeth.

After an examination and x-rays of your teeth, we can discuss if Invisalign is the proper orthodontic treatment.

The average Invisalign treatment time is twelve months, but treatment time will vary based on each person’s age and specific needs.

Each case is different. After an exam, photographs, and x-rays of your teeth, you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan.

Invisalign costs range from $1,800 to $9,500, depending on the complexity of the problem. The average price for a teenager is $3,000. A typical adult would spend  $5,700 for a “full” treatment.

These averages compare to $3,000 to $7,000 for traditional wire-and-bracket braces. So, your cost may or may not equal what you would pay for conventional braces, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan.

Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign just like they do braces.

You can use a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) to pay for Invisalign. Some employers offer an FSA program that you can pay into through pretax payroll deductions. Another option is an HSA if you have a qualified high-deductible health insurance plan. An HSA lets you set money aside to pay tax-free for eligible medical, dental, and orthodontic expenses, but unlike an FSA, the funds don’t expire after a year.

If you don’t have an FSA or HSA, there’s another way to get tax savings. You can deduct medically necessary dental and orthodontic expenses from your tax return if they exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. So, save all your receipts.

After any orthodontic treatment, we recommend that you wear a retainer.

We design your retainer to keep your teeth in alignment. Without it, your teeth can gradually move back to their former position. If your teeth start to shift, you may need to wear aligners again to reposition them temporarily.

We will determine which type of retainer is best for your individual needs.
